In January 1959, after nearly a decade with Bailey and Weatherill in the West End (during which time he had won the prestigious Tailor and Cutter Gold Medal), Dimi acquired his premises here in Fulham, and began his tailoring business armed only with his skill and determination to succeed. The friendly and informal atmosphere he cultivated ensured that everyone who came to the shop felt welcome and at their ease, while his passion for tailoring and exceptional eye for detail created the cut that has been recognised and admired ever since.
His great enthusiasm permeated everything he did, never more-so than in the training of family members to ensure the passing on of the skills needed to continue the business. That same enthusiasm and passion kept Dimi fully involved with the running of the business on a daily basis until his death in 2004, just after his eighty-first birthday.
Safe in family hands, the continued success of the business remains a testament to his achievements. We are proud to follow in his footsteps and strive to maintain the high levels of quality and service that he set, and our customers have come to rely on.
